The ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich) is one of the leading universities of the world in natural sciences, engineering, architecture, and business economics. Each year about 2'400 students and 800 doctoral candidates receive their degree from the ETH Zurich.

According to the World University Rankings 2008 published by "U.S. News & World Report", the ETH Zurich achieved rank 7 of all European universities, and was the first-ranked non-British university.

According to the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009, the ETH Zurich was in position 20 of the top 200 world universities, and the first-ranked university on the European continent.

Besonderheiten der Studiengänge

The ETH Zurich offers only one MBA program: the Executive MBA program with focus on international supply chain management. It provides training in general management and leadership skills with a truly global perspective, and always in close contact to the business reality. Additionally, it offers in-depth studies in a subject of special interest: international supply chain management. The focus is on managing the process driven global enterprise.

  • A unique combination of general management studies plus in-depth focus on international supply chain management
  • Executive level instruction to prepare for future leadership roles
  • A fully English-medium program - in the global business language
  • Part-time attendance on-campus in Zurich enables executives to remain on the job for the duration of the 18-month program
  • Core lectures are on-campus in Zurich, Switzerland, complemented by onsite study modules in Russia, the USA, and Asia
  • Regular VIP speakers, usually European executives, provide dialogues on current topics in their industries
  • A thesis project requires that learnings be applied to an actual problem in the student's own company.

Internationale Verbindungen

Study trips are made to Russia (5 days), the USA (7 days) and Asia (Japan and China; 11 days). Global economic developments are analyzed. Case studies are carried out at foreign companies.

The Executive MBA faculty includes more than 20 professors and lecturers, not only from the ETH Zurich but also from other world renowned universities and schools. They are among the leading academic techers in their fields.

The Partner Universities of the ETH Zurich for this Executive MBA program are:

  • University of Washington (Seattle)
  • Tongji University (Shanghai)
  • Hosei University (Tokyo)

The classes comprise students from many parts of the world.

Finanzielle Unterstützung

Students can be helped to obtain study loans at favorable conditions. Scholarships are not available.
