Profil der Hochschule

The Simon School at the University of Rochester was the first business school to offer a U.S. MBA degree for executives in Switzerland.  Founded in 1994, the Rochester-Bern Executive MBA program is still the first choice of leaders looking for an applied general management education of highest quality with an international focus, outstanding customer care, and valuable networking opportunities.

Besonderheiten der Studiengänge

Dual Degree: Without interrupting their careers, the Rochester-Bern Executive MBA program allows participants to earn an international MBA degree from an accredited, top-ranked U.S. business school (University of Rochester) as well as a national EMBA degree from a distinguished Swiss university (Universität Bern).

Content: The program offers an integrated approach to thinking about management problems and a thorough understanding of the cross-functional nature of business decisions.  Courses follow a logical sequence proceeding from fundamental tools to strategy considerations.  Participants get all the tools necessary to analyze, design, implement, and manage successful business strategies.

We’ll change the way you think. – It is not a slogan, it is reality.  The Rochester-Bern Executive MBA with its global approach teaches you how to think out of the box.”
Andreas Jurt, Managing Director, Credit Suisse

Internationale Verbindungen

Format: The program starts once a year in January and takes 18 months.  Courses are held every other Friday and Saturday in Switzerland (Thun).  The curriculum is enriched by an intense summer session at the Simon School in Rochester (6 week block) and an educational trip to China (1 week block in Shanghai).  The bi-weekly format is designed for executives who need a schedule compatible with their business responsibilities.

People: Students have extensive management experience, work in different industries, and come from all over the world.  Faculty members have outstanding track records and live, teach and consult all over Europe and in the United States.  Throughout the program, participants have several opportunities to work with students of the parallel executive program in the United States.

Accreditation/Rankings: The Simon School at the University of Rochester is accredited by AACSB International since 1966.  Financial Times ranks it number 3 in the world for finance and number 4 for managerial economics.  Moreover, the Simon School is ranked the top private U.S. business school for return on investment (ROI) by Bloomberg BusinessWeek.  More ranking results are available on www.executive-mba.ch.
