Profil der Hochschule

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University was founded in 1908 and is widely recognized as a global leader in management education. The school, located just outside of Chicago, is home to a renowned, research-based faculty and MBA students from around the globe. For more than a century, the Kellogg School has made strong leaders stronger. Our professors are preeminent scholars and passionate teachers. They direct research centers and author the books that are used to teach business students the world over. As a result, our alumni are successful senior leaders in business, government, education and virtually all fields. The Kellogg School of Management’s academic portfolio includes the Full-Time, Part- Time and Executive MBA Programs, the PhD Program, and the non-degree Executive Education Program. In addition to campuses in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois, the Kellogg School offers an Executive MBA Program in Miami and has alliances with business schools around the world such as the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program.

WHU was founded in 1984 as one of the first private business schools in Germany growing to become a leader in management research and education in an international arena. The traditional yet innovative approach continues to result in many milestones including: Launching the Kellogg Executive MBA partnership in 1997; earning the international quality label and accreditation approval of EQUIS in 1998; earning the superior accreditation approval of FIBAA premium in 2010; establishing an extraordinary worldwide network of over 150 universities covering all continents. Not surprisingly, the school is consistently ranked by leading publications as one of the top management schools in the German-speaking area. The primary mission of the WHU is both research- and practice-based education of general managers and entrepreneurs who excel in leadership, business and civil society roles. Located between Frankfurt and Cologne, one of the most vibrant areas of Europe, the school can easily be reached from any region worldwide. As a result of the quaint location, one also has the benefit of a close-knit community while obtaining world class education.

Besonderheiten der Studiengänge

The Kellogg-WHU Program puts strong emphasis on teamwork and study groups , and many class projects are assigned to study groups, rather than individual students. When assigning study groups, every effort is made to provide a diversity of skills among participants and create opportunities for peer tutoring.

Our teaching approach relies, to a good part, on the case study method,  allowing students to work in interdisciplinary groups A mix of additional methods is used to draw on the participants' own professional experience, creating an interactive learning environment and promoting an exchange of ideas between students and faculty.

Internationale Verbindungen

The program consists of 600 class hours (45 minutes per class session) : Twelve weekends and six live-in weeks, including 3 Weeks in Vallendar, 2 Weeks in Evanston/Chicago and 1 week with a global partner in Miami, Toronto, Tel Aviv or Hong Kong . The program is divided into 11 modules and comprises 30 courses.
